Capacity BuildingFrom a morning workshop to a yearlong strategic planning process, capacity building activities cover a huge spectrum and can be defined as any activity that helps a nonprofit work toward its mission. Serving nonprofits to advance their missions is the basis of our work at MNA: It shapes our values as an organization and defines our mission statement.
At MNA our Capacity Building services are designed to match the needs that exists within the sector for more efficient management practices, strategic working, and sustainable fund development practices.
MNA, in its position as a statewide body, is well-placed to offer expert advice on issues relating to best practice, financial sustainability, and public policy within the nonprofit sector in Michigan. Additionally, reflecting the recent financial climate in the sector and increasing demand for operational and fiscal efficiency, more and more nonprofits are in need of these services.
MNA’s Capacity Building Services focus on addressing the gap in service provision in the following areas:
o Advice on Emerging Trends in the Sector
o Advocacy and Public Policy Engagement
o Building Strategic Alliances
