Michigan Nonprofit Leadership Institute

MNA is currently reviewing the content and delivery structure of the Emerging Leaders and Executive Leadership Fellows programs.  There are no classes scheduled at this time.  We anticipate program revision will be complete by September 2008 - check back then for details and a revised calendar!  If you would like to be put on a waiting list for materials, please email Mitzy Sharp Futro at msharpfutro@mnaonline.org and write "MNLI Update Request" in the Subject Line.  Exciting things are coming!

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Michigan Nonprofit Leadership Institute is to positively impact the long-term accountability, effectiveness, and commitment of professional leaders within the nonprofit sector.

Three primary goals provide the framework for MNLI activities:

  1. to establish a culture of organizational excellence throughout Michigan’s nonprofit sector.
  2. to enrich the meaningfulness and productivity of nonprofit professional careers. 
  3. to establish and nurture networks for professional and organizational engagement and enrichment.

PROGRAM
MNLI will build the capacity of the nonprofit sector through the following services:
Leadership Development Programs designed to meet the unique needs and interest of nonprofit professionals

  • Emerging Leaders:  a six-month seminar for program staff in nonprofits aspiring toward the role of leader.
    • Tuition includes ten full training days, course materials and lunches.
      **Please note:  this is a competitive application process and registrations cannot be made online.  Participants will be invoiced upon acceptance to the program.
  • Executive Leadership Fellows: a seven-month seminar for newer nonprofit executives.
    • Tuition includes ten full training days, course materials and lunches.
