Position Description (include how to apply):

Job Summary: The Director of Administration manages the overall administrative operations of UPWARD Talent Council including office management, technology, human resources, marketing and communication and project management administrative staff.  The Director of Administration works to improve processes and policies to support the organizational structure.

Job Expectations:

  • Manage overall administrative operations, manage internal and external relationships, develop and oversee departmental standard operating procedures
  • Manage strategic vision for Information Technology, oversee network administration and evaluate information systems department processes and policies
  • Manage strategic vision for marketing and communication and oversee implementation of marketing vision for UPWARD
  • Manage strategic vision for human resources and oversee human resources requirements including employee on-boarding, managing and administering health and other employee benefits, maintaining personnel records, monitoring insurance coverage and ensuring that personnel policies are up-to-date
  • Coordinate long-term organizational planning and the implementation and operation of UPWARD’s strategic plan
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to support the strategic vision of UPWARD Talent Council

Travel: There is a moderate amount of travel within the region with this position.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven management leadership skills, with ability to provide “hands on” implementation as needed
  • Flexibility and ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to use considerable judgment, initiative and independence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in business, human resources, administration or related work experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field

 Master’s degree preferred
