Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the Treeline Conservancy’s annual revenue goals.
- Identify and cultivate major gift prospects – individual, corporate, and foundation.
- Plan and execute special events to engage donors, increase awareness of the Treeline Conservancy and its goal to introduce a non-motorized trail from Argo Pond to the U-M Stadium area.
- Create and lead a marketing/communication campaign to increase community awareness of plan for the Treeline Trail.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop fundraising strategies and goals.
- Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Key Credentials and Personal Qualities
- Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate giving, and special events.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a variety of audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.
- Grant writing experience for organization operational needs and capital projects.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Board members and volunteers.
- Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
- A deep commitment to the mission and values of the Treeline Conservancy.
As the TLC evolves and as funds permit, the TLC may hire and delegate some of the above responsibilities to additional staff including a Public Relations Director and other roles.
